It mounts to the bellhousing using the original Muncie mounting points, and mounts to the T56 using the same T56 transmission-to-T56-bellhousing mounting points that the LT1 uses. Do the dimensions match your LT1 T56? I did a search on this already but can only find detailed info in regard to Hydraulic Clutch assembies utilizing a special flywheel etc when bolting LT-1 trans up to early SBC's. I'm replacing a Muncie 4spd. Along My Gen 1 SBC and T56 setup was in my 3rd gen that I did an auto to T56 swap in (working on moving it all into the 2nd gen instead though ) and I used one of those cheap LT1 starters that you linked.
